James, yes, you must be careful what you wish for. But I must thank you for slicing much off the prices of some very good companies, ENE included. I anticipated the dip would continue, so last week I sent ENE's DRIP a big check. Looks like I got one hell of a good price, for a change! ENE has really been beaten up because of the uncertainties abroad, despite its sound financial standing. ENE's bonds remain investment grade quality, and their projects are fully funded. I expect to see Enron International to begin generating some income as we close this FY, which the Enel and Brazilian purchase help. As for water, I have taken a look at the links you provided, but fear my poor ol' mac doesn't got what it takes anymore, which is why i need a new computer. I will look at them tomorrow from work. The only water companies I know of are Philadelphia Suburban and USF. I looked at USF a while ago, but the water biz never got me interested. Water is very risky, far riskier than power or gas, and it seems much less rewarding. Perhaps Enron is planning to create water subsidiary, and spin it off in an IPO, where Enron Corp remains the majority shareholder, like EOG etc. at some point down the road. That would boost ENE stock a lot. I read a Dow Jones article where the head of Enron Europe said water was not a core biz for ENE europe, which is where i get the idea for a spin off. Perhaps that will happen. I agree with you, that the quiet on this thread is nice because it means that few people are aware of ENE, and its investors remain quietly long. Not much excitement usually, until earnings are released, but down the road aways, I expect ENE to pay for that island I've always wanted ;) later, geoff
