Awharthog, Folks, Remember as a child the sirenic phrase "The Mysterious East"? Stories by Kipling and Maugham regaled us as did Charlie Chan stories and a host of others. It served us up fascination with a culture so very different from ours in the West. Unfortunately those stories often did not tell the underlying story of human suffering that was so prevalent here. Well, we may be taking a step towards those days of mystery as Asia takes the steps to begin reshrouding itself in mystery. Only the leaders initiating these steps will be rewarded. Free to perform whatever draconian acts they wish, beyond the light of free market principals, their people will surely suffer. Those principals, without appropriate handicapping rules, may be the unwitting catharsis to what is happening. Best, Stitch
