Glen<Monday, the broader market caught up with some of the smaller companies' losses. Contrary to its recent behavior, the Nasdaq Composite Index was brought down by its bellwether technology companies. Amazon.com lost 21%, Dell Computer dropped 16% and Cisco Systems lost 14%.

From todays Wsj. I guess I never thought of Amzn as a bellwether technology company or a general. I've always thought of it as a on-line commodity seller that might make lieutenant at best.
My would anyone compare Amzn to Dell and Cisco??
Dell and Cisco make profits, while the experts who follow Amzn say no profits here until 2003.
Am I missing something here?
