Hi guys, here's an excerpt from Zappa's latest quarterly report regaurding the Laplata property.

Cambior Inc., our Joint Venture Partners, recommenced drilling our massive sulphide prospect, Laplata, in June. Three holes # 23 24 and 25 were drilled south of hole number 20. We reported these assays in a July 21, 98 news release. Management was pleasantly surprised at the rich assay of hole 23, especially the Copper assay of 14.31% over 9.8 meters.

Gelogists working for both Cambior and Zappa now think we may be drilling into a Kuroko type massive sulphide deposit. If we are correct in this assumption, then we can concentrate on establishing the size of our horizon with the guidance of similar, well documented ore bodies of this type.

The Kuroko deposits occur in close association with the dacitic or rhyolitic lavas, and at the same time, have definite stratigraphic and structural controls. To date, we have experienced rich black ore, yellow ore, vein and network types of mineralization, acompanied by the dacite and rhyolite activities. A mineralized lense in a Kuroko model seldom occurs in isolation. We are now encouraged that continued drilling should result in finding additional mineralized horizons. Drilling is once again underway in August.
