Tom F,

Please show me where being an IXC qualifies you as being a phone company, versus a long distance carrier? They are two different things my friend.

This is the kind of "research" that gets people a little more than upset. You provide what would seem to be relevant facts, when in actuality they are not.

Au contraire. My research led to the right answers. Whether I may have been right or wrong is not relevant because it led to an answer that NONE of you new. None of you even knew about them being an IXC.

I still stand behind an IXC not being a phone company. It is a long haul provider, mainly long distance data/voice. Local loops are still done by the RBOC or CLEC. Please show me where they have colocated with Bell, or have their own fiber ring and DMS-500 or 5eSS and are capable of doing their on local loop.

Can they offer local dialtone in their current status with the FCC? The only reason I say this is because if you are "a phone company" then you pretty much have your own exchanges (NNX) and the whole 9 yards.

Thanks.

Cliff
