Pendragon Software Releases News Service and Offline Web Browser for
the Palm Computing Platform - PRNewswire 02:53 p.m Sep 01, 1998 ET

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Pendragon Software Corporation
today released a new line of products designed to bring news and Web content to the
popular Palm Computing platform of handheld devices.

The InfoRover(TM) product line consists of three products designed to meet the
need for varying levels of news and information:

-- InfoRover Express is a free service which enables the handheld user to download
Associated Press newsbriefs -- the top eight to ten news stories of the day.

-- InfoRover Select is a subscription service which gives the handheld user access to
in-depth news stories from The Associated Press. Each subscriber can customize
the news topics that he or she wants to receive -- from daily Dow Jones averages to
last night's baseball scores.

-- InfoRover Professional is an offline Web browser which allows the handheld user
to download Web pages to the PalmPilot(TM) organizer.

"InfoRover gives users of the 3Com(R) connected organizer the power to carry a
custom blend of news and information wherever they go," said Ivan Phillips,
President of Pendragon Software. "The software downloads valuable content from
the Internet to a desktop PC every day, and uses the organizer's unique
synchronization abilities to ensure that the handheld carries the most up-to-date
information."

"The Associated Press is pleased to bring the news to the 1.6 million Palm
Computing Platform user base," said Tom Brettingen, AP director of Business
Development with the Associated Press. "As the world's oldest and largest news
gathering organization, we are an unmatched source for fast, reliable news
coverage."

The InfoRover product line is available via Pendragon Software's InfoRover Web
site, www.inforover.com. InfoRover Express is a free service. A one-year
subscription to InfoRover Select costs $59.95. InfoRover Professional costs $59.95
and as an introductory offer contains a free 6-month subscription to InfoRover
Select.
