Pierre: The Dow closed up 288 points... A little more than a 50% retracement... Advancers led Decliners for the first time in a week... But, we only had 10 New Highs vs over 900 New Lows... That's bad... I don't think we've seen a bottom yet... Russia, Japan, and Latin America still hover in the economic background... Talk of a possible FED rate cut helped buoy the market today... A rate cut from these levels is not as significant as one from higher levels... Japan has learned that lesson over the past 5 years... We may get another day or two of a rally, but I believe there is more downside ahead... Jim
