Based on the little I know, that's been my inference. These options seem very inefficient - I've had orders out for half an hour that were not filled though they were purportedly below bid or above ask. Don't know if the problem is with E*Trade.

OT, has anyone else had this problem? When I brought it to E*Trade's attention, they said that the price shown on the order confirmation and change order forms as the "current ask" was not in fact the current ask, but something else, like the last. One customer service rep said she had "confirmed" that there was an error on the page and they would be fixing it, though nothing has changed. I'm going to be following up soon, so if you've had same or similar problems, let me know.

Options question: Experts please explain. Thanks in advance.

I looked at CBOE options quote for amzn oct 80 puts. There are five symbols:

YZNVP
YZNVP&A
YZNVP&C
YZNVP&P
YZNVP&X

What is the difference among them? And what is open interest? Any answer is highly appreciated. Thanks again
