Take heed people, here comes Abby!

stock bull:

$140.00 based on the First Call 00 earnings estimate of $2.81 and assuming Dell will continue to grow a min of 50% for the year.

As for price movements and market gyrations of yesterday and today and tomorrow etc I am not concerned all that much as I am not a trader.

Abby Joseph Cohen, Goldman Sachs' top stock market prognosticator, said she is not changing the predictions that she laid out at the start of the year - ambitious though they now may seem.

In an interview Monday evening, Cohen reiterated her forecast that the Dow will return to 9,300 by the end of the 1998 - despite its 19-percent Dow drop from a high of 9,337.97, set on July 17.

"The volatility has been more intense than we might have expected," Cohen said, but adding, "in the United States, that correction has really been overdone."

Her prescription? Look at the strong U.S. fundamentals - and ride them out as the stock market gradually regains its strength.

"An investor today should be doing what an investor should always be doing - and that is thinking about what the economic environment is likely to be going forward," she said. "There is not a recession likely here anytime soon."
