Advanced Health to buy back stock

TARRYTOWN, N.Y., Sept 1 (Reuters) - Health care provider
Advanced Health Corp. said Tuesday it was going to start buying
back its own stock in an effort to push up the price.

Advanced Health said in a statement its board of directors approved a plan to repurchase up to 3.5
million shares or about 35 percent of its outstanding common stock.

''We wholeheartedly believe that Advanced Health's stock is undervalued at current price ranges,'' it
said in a statement.

''The plan provides that the shares may be repurchased at the discretion of the company's senior
management over a period of up to six months,'' it said.

Its stock was trading 1/2 higher at 1-3/4 on the Nasdaq market, near a year low of 1-1/16 against a
year high of 28-4/16.
