>>Maybe DELL is angry at you?!

Maybe...although, I've bought enough stock to make them happy (I did sell of course). Overall, I hear good things about Dell; however, the fact that MY machine was defective makes me more cautious. Like you probably know I have two personal Compaq Presario's at home. I've had NO problems with them. I also have a work Gateway laptop...NO Problems, and I have an old toshiba laptop that starting to die on me.

The point I've had no hardware problems except for my new DELL. What does this mean...maybe nothing. However, I think its due to Dell's rapid growth; thus resulting in poorer quality control.

BTW, i believe Compaq just won a prestigious quality award beating out IBM and HP in 3 of the five categories...resellers only.
