Hi Rob, Selling puts should have nice premiums these days. Keep up the good work.

Something else I check during market stompings is to look at the conv. bonds of stocks I hold. Sometimes one can get some nice yield along with a discount price.

Best regards, Tom

Rob: Selling insurance is real smart here if you've got the cash to absorb the risk, and as you've stated you don't mind owning what you're writing against. I'd be doing it, if my account was set up for it. Alas it is not. I'm going to buy for cash and write covered. Calls won't carry near as much premium as puts but they will carry more than usual.

I'm going to be buying the companies that are participating in the cable build out. When the history books are written I think T's purchase of TCI will loom large. The big question mark in whether we all can get blazing fast internet connections was whether the cable cos could get the cash to do the build. Now they are getting it. These poor companies have been utterly crushed and are now in the bargain basement. Wish I could sell puts, I'd do it in a New York minute! Good trading!
