SOROS:

One thing for sure is that when it comes to money issues, people act in all sorts of irrational ways. Many would-be despots see economic collapse as a golden opportunity, so to speak. The best example that comes to my mind is the rise of Hitler to power. It was not purely coincidental that he rose to power in the midst of the great depression which hit the whole world and more particularly when Germany was in absolutely horrendous economic trouble with having to pay war reparations because of the Treaty of Versaille. One wonders if the economic troubles continue to get worse in Asia and now Russia and probably in other parts of the world whether there will be serious attempts at gaining control of these countries by, shall we say, less than honorable leaders. Personally, I am watching Russia closely to see who gains power there.
