No (MSFT IE) Browser in AAPL's 8.5 OS ???

Wonder how MSFT IE will still be the Mac's "default" browser if the OS has it own . Is this to help MSFT and placate the DOJ ?

MSFT has its own mini browser in Windows CE:

wired.com

>> " This past May, as Palm-sized PCs based on the WindowsCE operating system were introduced by several hardware manufacturers, Microsoft released two different Web access solutions for handhelds:
- Pocket Internet Explorer, a stripped-down version of its desktop Web browser;
- and MobileChannels, an offline browsing solution that's essentially
identical to AvantGo's product.

"We're making the Web unconsciously portable; you check your pocket for it just like you would for your keys," said Jim Floyd, product manager of the WindowsCE division at Microsoft. " <<

Guess we won't see WinCE or MSFT IE on AAPL's PowerPC portable .
