New benchmark low ranges based on yesterdays close & todays low (Yahoo data):

DJIA 7539 to 7400
S&P500 957 to 940
NASDAQ 1499 to 1475

Opinion - We probably test these lows over the next few weeks.

FWIW

BB made a brief radio appearance this morning on the Chicago station that carries his show, WLS-AM. It was at the very end of the Don Wade and Roma show, 8:55 Chicago time. I was in heavy traffic and tried to get over to the side to take notes, but it was impossible. I scribbled down these points as soon as I got to the office. In a nutshell, here's what he had to say:
We are in the midst of a terrific buying opportunity.
The Monday sell-off took him by surprise, but he sees support at around 7400 DJIA.
The market will test these levels in the weeks to come, and don't expect a straight up move from here.
We are in the midst of an emotional downturn.
Expect new market highs in all of the major indexes sometime in 1999.
Investors must take a long-term view.
The elements for a bear market are not in place, and he borrowed from his Saturday monologue regarding the factors needed for a bear market, adding that none of these were currently in place.

In summary, he has not changed his position one iota as of Tuesday morning, 25 minutes into the trading session. Did anyone else catch the broadcast? If so, please chime in.
