"Japan's industrial output fell 0.8% in July from June. Meanwhile, retail sales slid 3.7% year-to-year, wholesale sales dropped 4%, construction orders sank 14% and housing starts fell 11%."

Sam,

regarding Abby, I really think there should be some disclosure requirement for a company about to go public. As an example, would it be legal for her to be pumping airline stocks if GS is about to bring an airline public?

On the lighter side, if I am to net as much as Ms. Cohen would from the IPO, I would agree that there is no recession anywhere.
