It's called capitulation...

The last of the weak hands sold off their THQI holdings, either to cover margin or just to stop the damn bleeding. I am sure shorts covered as well. At 9 and change, THQI became a scremaing bargain, man, its like giving it away. The buyers saw the value and saw the shorts depart, so they piled on.

I bought Dec 11.6 calls when THQI hit 11. Man, am I pissed. The premium was $ 2 9/16 !! I only payed a premium of $1 7/8 when thes stock was above 13 just a few days ago. God do I hate options desks. But I know it is all supply and demand, at least that's what I tell myself to calm down.

Anyway, it's nice to have options back in the money at the end of the day.

Ask Todd, Jeff, Ron... just don't ask me......

Since the technical breakdown of 200DMA, THQI had trading solely on emotion rather than fundamental (to be fair, this apply to most solid game companies) This morning I was trying to buy some QHI,DEC,12.5,calls at $11 5/16 (when THQI trading at 9.x!) only to find out that I haven't setup my options account!!! The market started off very weak, that explains THQI's weakness in the morning.

I don't think the worst if over for the market. I expect a very rocky year. The Global economy is not going to get better anytime soon and the U.S. will not be the only nation standing on the three legged chair.

Expect a DOW retest of the lows in the near future. I think THQI is a fine company and will eventually move WAY WAY UP.

Another $.02
