El,
Didn't see anything about Piper Jaffrey today. We could use the good news tomorrow.

biz.yahoo.com

Our friend Abby was on the Nightly Business Report advising we are still in a Bull Market. Exports to Russia less then 1% of GDP. Concern over South America is not realistic with less then 3% of GDP exported to them. Asia is major concern, and they have been having problems for years. Asia already priced into the market. She has changed portfolio distribution to 73% stocks, 20% bonds, & 2%commodities. (Think I got that right!)

ML changed portfolio to 50% stocks and 50% Bonds. I hope ML chocks on their advice. Remembered some one saying they were on the horn with the buy side today advising to wait before buying as they see prices decreasing again. I have to wonder how many institutional buyers they advise, and how many listened today.

Appears the roller coaster is on the rise again. Tomorrow could go up or down. Talked to my broker today. I was toying with selling a few more puts. He was still busy doing margin calls. So I would guess some folks are still going to have to sell some stock tomorrow to cover some margins. Some how I don't think it is short sellers like today. Interesting that margin calls are not always as immediate as one might think.

I playing golf Friday morning to stay away from temptation. Leaving the cell phone at home!!!
