I'm not good at TA. Anybody else here want to discuss this principle, how often it works, how self-fulfilling, etc? I'm interested.

I worry more that with the current bandit-style capitalism they won't feed their army. We could be friends with socialists, if mild, which this would be possibly. It's not the economic system, it's the territorial aggression we fear. Reference lack of problems doing business with China, which mostly stays inside it's borders. China was much smarter about their transition (and much more suspicious of western pundits, also to their credit.)

Actually I would be relieved by some price controls and major industry nationalizations right about now. Hungry people are dangerous people.
