Bobby: Smart point. Corporations cashed up buying their own stocks to avoid takeovers and reducing shares outstanding to pump up earnings/share will stabilize those corporations whose Boards know are good investments.

In October 1987 I said to a line of glum traders standing at the windows 47 stories above 42nd Street (James Capel New York Office) don't jump. Wait 3 months and buy. I see this correction as a needed, and good event that corrects the debt bubble and chastens the Asians who were beginning to believe they could buy the World for debt. Was it the Greeks who said that hubris went before a fall?

I'd look for a buying point in US equities 3 - 6 months down the road. I would want to see Russia, Thailand, Korea, etc. stabilized.
