I bought the CPU from a local vendor in So. Ca.-Anson Computer. What was most important at the time was they had it in stock. There were many vendors who advertised the Celeron but were out of stock. What was interesting about Anson is they felt it necessary to post a disclaimer that they did not carry the stepped 1 Celeron vs the stepped 0. You see, it's a crap shoot as to whether they will get either one when they put in their order. They have no way of knowing what they'll get and they can't specify either one. Much of the public was ordering the Celeron 266 from them and then wanting to return the chip when they realized they didn't have the stepped 1 version. What chutzpuh! I went ahead and ordered anyway because I knew I had a better than even chance of getting a stepped 1 when ordering the retail boxed version vs OEM. Although I got the stepped 0 version it still turned out fine. You just need a mobo with the flexibility of the BH6 with which to make adjustments to your CPU.

When I go shopping over the net for computer stuff I start with three sites that find the lowest prices for me:

killerapp.com

lowerprices.com

pricewatch.com

These sites will find whatever you're looking for and list the vendors carrying it by order of price from lowest to highest and they provide all the info. you need to contact them either by phone or through their web site.

Good Luck,
