Sam;

You would have to argue your logic with management. Only they have the answers. The traditional way to do it is to become a STOCKHOLDER and write to the CEO or bring it up at the annual stockholders meeting in the form of a question.

re: Quantum being a better buy...the item that has continued to attract me to Seagate over Quantum is Seagate software. Even in this downturn in drive profitability, the software division has been a shining light. Spun-off or not, you still will own a piece of that business. That's good news in an industry filled with questions, concerns, and to a certain degree, a bit of chaos.
