I have been hearing that rumor for a year or two about mutual funds with credit lines to fund redemptions.

Is there any definite evidence that such credit lines exist? I would think that it would violate some SEC rule. I have never seen a prospectus of a fund that allowed this--though I have not examined very many.

Hard evidence, anyone?

Given all the other absurdities in the extension of credit, I would not be surprised that it was true. Just one of those things that people say without documenting it.
