Cheryl, would you please point out what they, we, etc., are going to turn to for an OS that will replace the "Microslop" [sic] product?

Don't misunderstand - I feel there are some very solid grounds for questioning some of MSFT's tactics and I do have some minor annoyances with some of the application products, but to imply users are going to run off and buy a replacement for their existing Wx OS is not realistic.

We have to face reality - a lot of people are satisfied with what they are able to do with their computers and see no need to do anything but put on some new software and upgrade every once in a while.

It's the tech junkies in any industry that love to tout technical superiority in the face of market superiority. It's the same story with Apple, Pugeot, etc. Those who want to appear to be "in the know" like to get together and assure themselves a place among the cognoscenti by bashing those who may be crude but successful.

JMHO (for what it's worth).

Mr. K.

Ms. cheryl williamson,

<<<The "vast majority of end-user/customers" you speak of are now
on the internet just the the rest of us & they can read &
comprehend contempt when they see it. >>>

cheryl do you have any idea of anything you talk about? No way in the world is your statement true! The latest figures I saw for internet use was less than 20% of PC owners are using the internet.

Give Dell or Compaq or some other PC maker a call or someone with knowledge of use of the internet a call and ask for the latest best guesses.

Of the people I know who have computers, only about 1 in 5 are logging onto the internet.

Thank You

JK

Ms. cheryl williamson,

<<< When consumers finally
realize that they don't have to put up with crummy software
from Microslop anymore, the fact that the company is run by
a bunch of assholes will make switching brands that much easier.>>>

Hare you been jilted by Bill Gates? You are getting nuttier everyday.
Just because you don't like Microsoft don't think everyone else doesn't.

I have no way of proving it, but I'd bet more PC users like MIcrosoft over Sun ANY day of the week!

Thank You

JK
