Someone emailed me about cable modems, trading, etc. i thought I would share the reply here for those who might be interested:

Cable is by far the fastest for downloading, but it uploads at 33.6k, so that part
wouldn't matter for you. The biggest fi'differences in terms of trade execution is by
which broker you use. eSchwab is costly but fast, as is AB Watley. E*Trade is slower
but well priced and the best rounded in terms of services provided. I know many that
use Datek, but the results have been mixed. If you do both TA and FA, the question I
would ask is how familiar you are with TA indicators and if you now do both of those
online. There are lots of good URL's to get both without buying the software yet. I will
post this reply to the thread as it is of general interest. I will post some URls for online
TA and FA tonight. The absolute best place to get familiar with indicators in TA is to
do it online first. That way, when you review the features of a product you will at least
have some inkling of what you want and can use.

Ron,

Very simple, and very nice.

Especially the words about patience...a key not only to good trading, but to a good life.

Thanks for sharing,

David
