I picked up a few shares of COST today.
There were 100k and 25k blocks buying in, MM or funds must think it's priced right.
Will keep a tight leash on it.

Hello Leeza,

Interesting insight on how Y2k will affect COST, I hadn't thought of the panic of the consumer causing them to hoard. I wonder though if the surge in the bottom line will result in a surge in the price since it (the surge in bottom line) should be short lived once the problem is felt and not just feared.

And too, I think the fear is overblown and the fantasy will be worse than reality, at least I hope that's true. If not the disruption will offset the gain in COST's bottom line. That's to say that despite the fundamentals being in great shape while the panic lasts. The overall market will react to the panic everywhere just like its acting now to this current spate of irrational fear. Thus COST may even go down again until the fear passes. (OK maybe its not so irrational but it appears to be )

Long term though, COST will be a good buy regardless of the bumps in the road. And if you are right it will be an even better buy when the century nears. I hope you are right. That might be a could time to sell on the spike and buy back on the dip. That's something I would like to pull off with this company for once, So far I haven't been able to figure it !

Regards
