A buyback would do a number of positive things for CS:

1. Most importantly, the market (espec. institutions) would see mgmt's confidence in the stock
2. Individuals would feel confident
3. Reduction of float, increasing value of remaining shares
4. When has CS been this cheap? Long, long time. If it is a bargain for CPQ or any other buyer it is a bargain for CS shareholders

BTW I did get into the 7.5 calls today.

Rick
