chief - there will come a point when the experienced miner - be that BD, or whomever - will say there's no way, or start digging. don't forget that any sort of verification will likely include a good size sample set of non-related (samples from new locations) - hopefully randomly selected. although nothing is known for certain, the rumour was that BD would be collecting a substantial number of new samples. i know, i know, who knows what they are doing, but for the sake of discussion...these samples will be used as a comparison set. if the average content is similar to what was previously calculated, even if the variability is greater, then they could conceivably mine, realizing that some loads would be high content and some low, but overall it is economical. if, however, the average content is significantly lower (and this will be statistically determined - these folks know their business) they will likely say it's too risky and will walk away. in the end, i don't think this will be a long drawn out process. i imagine the only way additional verification work will be done is if the BD report says there is promise, and a better defined "proven" value is stated, which will allow for some measure of valuation to occur. then again...who knows? always nice to discuss things with you, cheif, toma p.s. toma is fine. normy is on loan from a very gratious annonymous member (thanks, again!).
