Gino - no followup to HSIA? I just sent them an e-mail anyway

Gino - nice DD - but you didn't say if you sent an e-mail to HSIA - Halogenated Solvents Industry Alliance Inc, in Washington DC - to follow up their methylene chloride white paper. Given their name and location I presume that they are an industry lobby group.

I've taken the liberty of sending them an e-mail with URL links to Napier's web site - patent - ICI and CCL.

I've also requested a reply. I'm just curious to know if they are aware of SV-35/Aquasol Solution. If not - then are they in for a surprise!!!

They provide the following:

" Total U.S. demand for the chemical (sic: methylene chloride) in 1996 was estimated at about 285 million pounds (129,000 metric tons)"

Now my turn to play with numbers going forward!

If SV-35 can grab just 25% of the US MC market during the next 12 months - that's 32,250 tons of SV-35 supplied either directly by Napier and indirectly under license via ICI and CCL. If one barrel of SV-35 retails now for $800+ per barrel - or there abouts (not sure of the exact number) - how many barrels are needed to supply 32,250 tons!!? What if demand is so stong that SV-35 takes 33% of the MC market or more?

Just a thought :-)

David.
