Hey Kurt,

The estimated unit shipment numbers are broken down by product line on the lower portion of the Q4 estimates page. macevolution.com

The chart also shows the unit numbers for previous quarters (calculated based on information provided in the conference call) so you can compare the two quarters and see if the estimates for each product line is realistic or not.

Eric

I think Steve's numbers exclude iMac sales and Eric's include the iMac (Eric's 832k unit number = G3 + iMac) in the calculation.

Yes-i can see that. I can't imagine Steve would actually say 1,000,000 if that were the case-if that were true it would be bad news and he wouldn't mention it at Seybold. I guess the recent drop has me on edge! :)

thanks!

FABULOUS news from macintouch:

In yesterday's keynote presentation at Seybold San Francisco, Steve Jobs noted that Apple recently sold its one-millionth Power Mac G3. Reliable sources, however, said the actual total is more than 1.1 million, including the All-in-One G3 model but not the iMac.

This is fab news. It confirms that the # excludes iMacs, and bumps up the numbers 100,000. Eric/Kurt/anyone-what is your take on this? I find Macintouch to be VERY trustworthy.

go aapl!!!
