Speaking of airlines and peanuts: I'd like to nominate the DOT for a TM award. They have just proposed rules to the major airlines requiring "peanut-free" zones on flights. The requesting passenger's row and the surrounding rows would be declared peanut non grata. The reaction of one airline representative to the DOT staff after they proposed this rule: "You must be kidding". You think I make this stuff up? I couldn't make up stuff this weird. Your tax dollars at work.
