Dell Computer Corporation announced on Tuesday, August 18th, that its
Board of Directors had declared a 2-for-1 stock split. This split, the sixth in
the last six years, will be paid in the form of a 100-percent stock dividend to
be issued on Sept. 4, 1998, to shareholders of record as of Aug. 28,1998.

Mohan, anybody buying Dell this week is not a stockholder of record. Therefore, she/he must get the additional shares from the seller. Is that right?

TIA

Paul
