to be honest, i'm not very good with market direction...

but i am assuming from your question that you want to sell the OEX call and buy the put. if you use it the way i have been using it, you would want to do that only if you believed that the OEX was going down.

that strategy is not too risky if you own the stock because the call being sold is covered...so unless you are long the OEX (Futures?), you'd be badly hurt if the OEX continues to rally as your put would lose value and the call would become more expensive for you to buy back.
