Charles, Aw shucks, In an earlier life I bought and sold parts for a mailorder business catering to schools and industry, Parts Galore Inc, out of Batavia NY. but I sold that when I sold all the other stores at the end of the 90's.
I have a slight familiarity with AC/DC controllers of various types, but I am no longer active in that area. the schools stopped teaching at that level and the parts business went surface ,mount which meant that people stopped building stuff at home and it all went pick and place robots.
Heathkit and I did a load of business, (and I supplied parts to radio Shacks packaging arm for retail) but they closed down their kits when Bull bought them and then Bull ran them into the ground.
Ramsey Electronics is the biggest remaining kit maker and even that has slowed.
And now you stake claims and drive a mule?
A four wheel drive mule I hope.

Bill

Waxer: I agree Jackson has seeming technological proficiency, however you should bear in mind that he was bodily thrown from the patent office for trying to register a quartz rod infrared toaster that was powered by cats in treadmills. He subsequently put on a fake beard, called himself W. Jacksam, and tried to patent an outdoor weiner roaster that was powered by a mat put down for women in nylon stockings to walk on. This would have passed, but he was arrested for lying on the mat during a demonstration. He was let off when one of his slick high powered lawyers gave the court a phony opthamologist's report and claimed he was making necessary adjustments to the in-fly current regulator.
