D.

Thanks! But, just to clarify, the order wasn't open "half the day". I put the order in 15 minutes before market close. Although I found it rather odd that a market order for HWP didn't get executed in a 15 minute time span, I chalked it up to Ameritrade problems (it takes me a week to 10 days to log in to the site sometimes <-- slight exaggeration).

I wouldn't have acted if the order DIDN'T show expired. To me, no answer is better than a wrong answer. Having little experience with Ameritrade (I use E*TRADE for most of my investments), I wasn't aware that it was necessary to get confirmation of a confirmation??

Anyway, I just had an executed order appear that I thought had expired. Now I see that it, in fact, was executed (I learned independently that the transaction history is the ONLY thing that is even close to being reliable, although only ONE of my five trades today showed up there...all of them show up in order status). So, to make my night just wonderful, I see I'm holding 1,000 shs of VST instead of the 500 I intended to buy!!!

I'm one ticked off unitoid!

GO BIG RED!!!
