Theoretically it takes 3 months of the Dow being down 20% or more from its highs to be classified as a real BEAR market... At the moment I think we are in the beginning stages of a BEAR market... 20% losses from the top for less than 3 months are still painful... A big improvement in New Lows, only 63 compared to over 900 yesterday... I'd like to see this number under 40 for 5 straight days... Also, the Transports are down today... This is a divergence from the Dow... We can't have a turnaround without the Transports heading North... So, for the moment, I'll call this a rally in the context of a developing BEAR market...
