IBM Aptiva K6-2-350MHz is shipping now. Go buy one at CompUSA. Don't complain.

Elmer - Re: '...because they'll surely (Shirley?) have to drop the price once it's actually shipping. "

They indeed do this.

The K6-2 300 MHz chip is now $116 and the K6- 2 350 MHz is down to $239, just a few days after its introduction at $317 !

That's a 25% drop in less than a week on the 350 ! Looks like the 333 MHz Celeron A may be too much competition for the 350 MHz K6-2.

Indeed, the 300 and 333 MHz Celeron A's provide a compelling Value Proposition FOr Windows Computing.
