Or maybe they know something. What bothers me most
about the potential with S3 is this is a very competitive
market. Basically S3 fumbled the ball and lost all the OEM
business it had. In order to displace the current vendor
S3 will have to have not only good technology but
a very low price in order to get the OEM to switch.
It cost money for a Dell, Gateway, Compaq and others
to switch to a different supplier. So with that said even if
they land a OEM will S3 just be buying the business
to get their feet back in the door. If that is the case
you can add another 6 months of very low profits if any.
