Yousef, I did a little research and it looks like AMD was actually ahead in frequency when they announced the K6. Intel didn't intro the 233mhz Pentium until June of 97.

So AMD has gone from 16.5% ahead (233mhz K6 to 200mhz PPro & Pentium) in speed to 28.57% behind and Petz says this means AMD is closing the gap. He must think AMD is posting a profit too!
