This average has not closed under its 200dma as far as I can see for at least 2 years. quote.yahoo.com^SPX&d=3mm this chart looks pretty ominous to me.

It is interesting that just about all the stocks I have checked (about 40) are under their 200dma, except for csco, dell, and msft. ge is right on it.
