Sidney, While I agree with your assessment that this single announcement will not drive the stock price up, it is indeed a shrewd deal. Immucor lays out $1.7 million and gains almost $1 million in revenue. A few pennies per share should fall to the bottom line. Sure looks like the new CFO knows how to use those idle funds! Atlanta Business Chronicle September 7, 1998 - The Week in Business amcity.com Immucor buys rights to distribute in Canada Immucor Inc. (Nasdaq: BLUD), a Norcross maker of blood bank reagents, has purchased the Canadian distribution rights from its Canadian distributor, Immucor Canada Inc., for $1.7 million. Canadian distribution will now be done by Dominion Biologicals Ltd., Immucor's wholly-owned subsidiary in Canada. The company said it expects the deal will increase its annualized Canadian revenue immediately and at "attractive margins."
