700K iMacs.

Apple is fighting to meet demand for its iMac and laptop computers.

via MSNBC/WSJ

>With supply becoming more reliable, Lou Mazzuchelli, an
analyst at Gerard Klauer Mattison & Co. in New York, said he
has revised to 450,000 from 350,000 the number of iMacs he
expects Apple to ship in the quarter beginning next month.
During the current quarter, he estimates Apple will ship
250,000 units. "Demand is only going up," he
said.<

Phil,

Have you been to any following countries in Asia before?

I lived in Japan for three years and in Korea for three years. I have been to Hong Kong about 10 times. I have been to Taiwan, the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia several times. Many of my friends lived in homes that would put the average American home to shame; but, these people were very wealthy. The vast majority of people do not live this way. Even a middle to upper middle class family in Japan lives in a relatively small house where only the room that you are in is heated. There is, generally, not enough room to bring in a desk for a computer setup. That is my experience, anyway. I think the middle class will be buying the majority of the iMacs.
