Thanks for the post! This looks like excellent news.

Does this mean that all competing companies (more or less)
now have to pay royalties or licensing fees to 3Com whenever
they sell a modem? If so good deal....many implications.

If so, we deserve an increase in estimates or at least an
upgrade somewhere's. But I doubt many analysts will
understand the news and implications.

Dr. Brent Townshend is one person I'm happy about making money on ROK based 56K modems, of course some of those royalties will drop into the 3Com coffers.

Have no doubt folks...USR won the 56K battle.
