Toronto, Sept. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Novell Inc. sold 590,000
shares of Ottawa-based Corel Corp. in July, further reducing its
stake in the software maker, trading reports filed with the
Ontario Securities Commission showed, the Globe & Mail reported.
In a July U.S. Securities and Exchange report, Novell indicated
it would sell 500,000 shares in three months. Provo, Utah-based
Novell said in the U.S. report it would sell the rest of its
stake, 8.36 million shares, in the next year, the paper reported.

Novell reported a fiscal third-quarter profit that beat
analysts' expectations as the maker of networking software cut
costs and boosted revenue by selling new Internet-based products.
