Shorting stocks on Datek. No short, no KRY.

ALERT!

It seems that Datek levied new rules to short sales.

Usually AMEX and NYSE stocks where shortable/marginable at any price, even beyond 5. Now I tried a few, like PQT, OMM, GKI or other stock at NY/AMEX. And see, Datek shows a NM sign also for NYSE/AMEX stocks.

I remember, months ago it worked when I put simultaneous buy and sell orders in the market for, say, PQT without owning a piece.

Riding KRY or EA(IN) or CMI to the bitter end is no longer possible now.

Christian

How about Brown, EGRAB, DLJ, SCH. Could you recommend a reliable one?
Thank you
