Karl, I bought my first third of TIE. This position is obviously under water, but Titanium is not going to be replaced by another material any time soon. It could be replaced in 30-50 years from now but that is a way's off.<ggg> I am waiting to purchase a second third position when the stock looks like it has bottomed. This stock seems to be trading in lock step with Boeing..or maybe the rest of the market.

The company has 70% of Boeings Titanium business and has installed new efficient plants. IMO the contract will be profitable with Boeing. Also Boeing has not quit building air planes. They, Boeing are having other problems that do not relate to TIE.

As far as deploying your money resources somewhere else is your decision. IMO, it is hard to find longs that are cheap and attractive right now, but shorting season seems to becoming attractive.<ggg> Cash could be king.

IMO the commodity companies like metals and oil will be the first to come out on top of this economic cycle, but who knows when that will happen.
