Hi:

When I said "Asia is far more serious" I meant short-/
medium-term for the Western economies and stock markets (deflationary pressures, lower profits, etc.). I agree that they will survive and recover. I am long-term very bullish as far as far-East Asia is concerned. They have reliable and hard-working people. I already own some beaten-down stocks in Hong Kong (perhaps a bit too early if they devalue) and hope to increase my positions in the Far East once world markets are recovering (hopefully within the next year, I have been delaying major investment already for three years).

Russia is long-term bad. I also agree that we don't know how much it will cost the West to prevent Armageddon, if we can.

Regards,

Phil
