You have to trust Rentech's management. If you don't trust them to work in their company's best interest, you should be awfully nervous holding their stock.

I spoke yesterday to TCC (253-872-1990) and asked some basic questions. They are indeed confident the demonstration will serve to prove up what they believe to be the case, namely that Rentech's GTL process will be able to use the plasma technology to both parties' benefit, bringing GTL process costs down. Obviously, they liked Rentech's prospects better than any others. The demonstration project is viewed more by TCC as a fine tuning of engineering details.

I also asked if Texaco was involved in any way in encouraging their "demonstration project" -- answer was no.

I had on my list also to ask: When will the 16 week project start? Who do they know is waiting in the wings to capitalize on the success of the project? Any potential customers already express an interest? etc... my contact, though very cooperative, was busy and I am not so articulate or knowledgeable about the whole subject to quickly get to the heart things. Someone else may wish to follow up with another call. But it looks to be a very wise move by RNTK.
