The amount that the spread is widening is very concerning. CIEN should trade at about a 10% discount to the conversion price. TLAB right now is 45 7/8, x.8 = 36.7, 10% haircut = 33.03, CIEN is now 28 1/2. Something is rotten in the state of denmark. larry

Again, it depends on the price. As a CSCO shareholder (which I am) I'd vote against it if it's not something around 0.30 pre-split CSCO shares for each CIEN share, were that scenario to come about somehow. CSCO may be happier just being friends.
