I just spoke to Mr. Hirsch at artt. He is buying the stock and is optimistic, he says wcii has not but anything concrete on the table.

The ever present (and entirely reasonable) range of rumors seem predictably resurgent. WCII is presenting at the big NBMO Investment Conference in SF in 12 days (Monday Sept 14th, day 1 of 5) at 9:45am PST (WCII is scheduled against TWX, FFD and IHS - ie, no close conflicts). Everyone will be there, so we may get some decent refocus on telecom and top pick WCII. Also, fairly common for companies to save an interesting announcement or two till this conference. Further out, WCII is putting on an analyst (both sides) meeting on Nov 17th. If the market finds it's legs (as it seems it might be doing), and current compelling valuations rekindle the amorous interests of large telcos, we may well see some appreciable upside through YE.
